tbh we outright disobeyed them. A bullet missed my head by an inch and embedded itself in the bus seat. I wanted to keep it - but the police wouldn't let me.

They actually were not aiming at me - but the guy stood behind me looking out of the rear window. It was pitch black - he was shouting left/right/straight to the driver who was going flat out in reverse down a mountain road - Sheer cliff up one side - sheer cliff down the other and no room to turn. Ah the joys of youth and exotic travel.

It changed my personality to no small extent.
