This weekend i'll be fitting a set of dresser bars , will the original bolts have enough thread to do the job correctly or am i supposed to source slightly longer bolts ?

The original bolt will work fine. You will need to jack the bike up to take a bit off weight off to pull the bolt out and re install.

Cheers mate, got the lifting issue under control , good news on the bolts, cheers

I went ghetto on my install when I got the bike - had no lift or anything but didn't want to wait for the shop to fit me in and then pay them, so I went out and bought a long threaded rod in the same dimension as the bolt, then pushed that in and used that to eject the bolt without fearing that the engine would drop and make bolt reinsertion impossible without a lift... fitted the bars and then put the bolt back in and pushed the rod back out with that... hey, it's only crazy if it doesn't work. Had no issues.

Im assuming all i'll need to do if put it on the centre stand i have then put a trolley jack under the front of the engine to take some weight off it , hope that works
