hello to you all

Mark here from Wolverhampton in the UK, I have just ordered a roadster today and now have the agonising wait for what I am told should be two weeks. So as you know it's going to be a very very long two weeks with lots of beer and dreaming about this monster.

Okay a bit about me.. 52 years old and riding bikes all my life, some of my recent bikes are
Suzuki GSX1400 K5..... Kept for 10 years and without a doubt one of the best and most reliable bikes I have ever known.

Suzuki Hayabusa 2011.... I'm keeping this one, after raising the handlebars and lowering the foot pegs it is a lot of fun & a light bike for short blasts...one of my all-time dream bikes.

Yamaha XV1700....it was a cool bike but the feet forward position was too extreme for me and my back just couldn't handle it.... Also it was extremely slow, didn't like going round bends and scared the hell out of me at over 60 miles an hour even in a straight line.

Kawasaki GTR1400...this is the bike im trading in for the Rocket, fantastic engine and great electronics BUT it has no character whatsoever (that's just my personal opinion and is down to my personal preferences and is nothing against the bike whatsoever). I have found that it is a very tall bike & the centre of gravity is very high as are the panniers so with the top box and the pillion all fully loaded it is a struggle. It just doesn't put a smile on my face and I don't look forward to riding it.

I have always wanted a rocket ever since they first came out and I have decided it's time to live the dream... I like bikes that are slightly different and have a lot of muscle so the Hayabusa & the Rocket are my dream come true.

Cheers
Mark.

Welcome to the forum from hot and sunny Scotland . 11 years of Rocket ownership for me and still lovin it.

Hi Mark, I'm also a newbie from the UK (Derbyshire) although I work in Telford so pass you by daily. I also have a Hayabusa; a fantastic bike but a little too cramped for my knackered knees. The bike I sold to get the R3 was a KTM Superduke; also a great bike. I'm sure you'll love the R3; I've only had mine 3 weeks but it's great!!

I hear that brother. Did you know a stock busa and a stock rocket have the same torque/weight ratio?

Welcome from Cape Cod, MA. You will love the Rocket and it will put lots of smiles on your face. I too have had a truck load of bikes, about the same age and I love the Rocket.

Welcome from Melbourne, Australia... The waiting sucks, but it's worth it!
