Hi Guys, I`d best start off by telling you I dont actually own a Rocket 3 myself. I have however ridden quite a few of them and covered a fair few km`s with the accompanying wide-eyed grin on my face so well known to you here. Our sister company www.GOTOURNZ.com had a Rocket on the rental fleet for some time that was freely available to the staff here.
I work for Thunderbike Powersports in New Zealand www.Thunderbike.co.nz . For those who don't already know us we are a motorcycle shop in Nelson, New Zealand who amongst other things design, manufacture and simply provide a wide a range of aftermarket products for Triumph owners around the world. Please don't imagine however that you are about to be the victims of incessant sales ploys etc. designed to extract your hard earned $'s that is not the purpose of my presence. I hope that by being here and conducting myself in a respectful manner I might be able to enquire as to the requirements of the Rocket 3 owers around the globe and maybe pick up on an idea or two that might not have even occurred to us here whilst perhaps offering a solution or two where applicable.

I hope that as fellow enthusiasts you will accept my presence on your forum. I currently own a 2002 Aprilia RSV-R which I have used for F1 and BEARs racing here in New Zealand, however it is now for sale and being replaced by a 2006 KTM 990 Superduke. I have also just sold my latest Post Classic GPZ1100 which I`ve been racing for the last 3years and I`m about to buy a pre-86 motocross bike to race in the ever growing in popularity Classic moto-x scene here. I also enjoy the excellent riding both on and off road that we enjoy here in New Zealand.

We have been a Triumph dealer since 1994, a BMW Parts and Service Agent and have now been a KTM dealer for 7 months.

If your still awake, I look forward to getting to know you fellas in here.

All the best :bch:
Cheers
Graeme

Hi Graeme!!

I'm glad you found us... You probably saw my note on the old Yahoo [R3] Email list :D...

Anyway... jump in, ask questions, you can sell some stuff too. We are pretty loose around here and anyone who is willing to make or sell stuff for Rockets is welcome. We all like to tinker or add things to our bikes and if you look through the forums you'll see a lot of clever stuff people have done on their own.

Our site has a wonderful photo album and its very easy to use, go ahead (goat head?) and put up some pics of your stuff, we like all kinds of bikes.

Hi Graeme, welcome and glad you're here. If someone is going to take my hard earned money it might as well be someone I know.:D Aftermarket parts and suppliers are few and far between for Rocket owners, so I imagine your time here will be worthwhile.

This is why I like this forum. They welcome vendors or others to participate and the members benefit.
Graeme I think there are going to be allot of suggestions for you here - not nearly enough Rocket stuff available. Glad your interested in our machines. Look forward to your input.

Welcome aboard RCV5, theres room in here for ya. So come on in, take a load off and sit for a spell. I'm sure that there are many here with suggestions for parts ideas, heck some of them might even be good with at least one or two of them being feasible.

Welcome RCV5,

Look through the posts and photos. We steal ideas from each other all the time. Contribute often and post some pictures.

Haere Mai

I hope you'll feel this your Wharenui and we all consider the R3 our Taonga. Our Hapu welcomes anyone who enjoys riding and I look forward to your many posts. Maybe we could use you as our suggestion box when there's something we'd like to see as an aftermarket item for the beast.

E noho ra for now.

Hi Fellas, Thanks for the positive and friendly responses I do appreciate that. Its always a bit of a step into the unknown doing such a thing and at times the feeling can be less than welcoming, especially if the users get a sniff of commercialism. We wont abuse the privelege, we'll look forward to any ideas or suggestions you might have bouncing around and look forward to getting to now you better with time.

Should've probably mentioned I`m 45 and originally from Scotland having emigrated to this wonderful country 5- 1/2 years ago.

All the best guys and thanks again.
