Rocket 3 custom
I have just purchased a 2008 Rocket Classic with just 6000 miles on the clock....the only issue I can see is that the Bevel Box has an oil leak (see atttached pic)

and the service manual I downloaded is sadly lacking in any info regarding this or indeed how to effect a repair. Having looked at youtube and other resources, am I right in thinking this is a common issue please? If anyone can point me in the right direction for a fix, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Greetings from sunny North Texas. The bevel box drain plug was known to snap off when torqued, I'd start there by first cleaning the bevel box and look for the leak source. Good luck.

I'd clean it up, change the fluid, and ride! Unless it's leaving a puddle on the ground, I wouldn't be too worried. Cleaning, filling, and riding is the easiest way to test it.

Welcome from sunny Alberta, Canadastan!🤪
About that oil leak, just clean it up and monitor and you can check it out at your next tire change (and that won’t be far down the road!) 😂 And you’ll be lubing the driveshaft splines then too…RIGHT?
Be mindful that the bevel box doesn’t hold very much oil, I change mine at every engine oil change.

Welcome... Big thumbs up on just cleaning it up and keep an eye on it, change it every oil change or every other, lube the spline when you change that tire!
Here is a helpful thread i had issues as well!
Its probably leaking from the bolt, Take out the bolt, change the oil, NEW BOLT... upgrade it, DO NOT use the OEM trash bolt and use a new crush washer or anneal the old one.
Ever wish you stripped out your threads? Diff drain bolt POS
