If the '05 is still going .... it should go for ever. All the faults seemed to happen quite early in their lives so if it is still going it was probably built on a Wednesday .... just enjoy. The feeling of the bike being big and heavy will pass. Your riding style will adapt or more accurately develop. I just spent the weekend dicing with a bunch of mixed bikes (sport and cruisers) on some quite challenging Aussie back roads. 10foot wide and full of blind corners, through hills and such. I was starting each leg a smoke behind the leaders and always came home with them. A lot of other riders were talking excitedly about picking gears into and out of corners ... until I just said it must be inconvenient, having to change gears ...... nothing matches a Rocket at full noise from the apex of a corner to the next one. Get a Lonelec cable, download Tune ECU, fiddle, polish, fiddle some more and RIDE and RIDE and RIDE. I have found the Rocket the most rewarding bike I have ever owned and sincerely hope you do too.
No I was just enjoying the fact that the guys were just the same as new captains today captivated by the Rockets in their first encounter, not in anyway a shot at you
