Just got back. Limped home with a flat tyre. Also when I had a look there was lots of gray gunk over the rear mudguard. It leaked from the spring preload adjuster.
Has anyone had this happen and also where do I refil the fluid.
One more note. If the rear suspension reservoir is punctured the contents are under pressure and it will shoot all over everything. It is non serviceable so the only option is to replace the rear suspension unit. Check your rear shock is fully intact, if it is, then it came from someplace other than the rear suspension.
After your first reply I went and cleaned it all up and the gunk is not greasy and it does smell of tyre. And looking at the diagram you posted its looking like it is a tyre weld sealant thingy.
Thank you very much.

That stuff, (if it's what I'm thinking), was probably put in as an automatic wheel balancer (a sorta liquid dynabeads). That indicates you have a tire problem if its sprayed all over the back of your bike, as it's supposed to be a tire sealant too for small punctures.
