HI x-kid from another fellow brit i say buy as new as poss with the least amount of miles. Depending on what you want either a bike with all the mods all ready done or standard so you can put your own stamp on it.I believe all ways check through the service history properly tells you a lot about the bike.Also ask them if they have ever been a member of this forum. No but really i have several bikes and have read scary things about all of them from other owners. But my rocket is a one off and been the best bike i have owned.think the only issue you got at the moment is you don't own a rocket:laugh::laugh::laugh: good luck in your search hope to see pics soon.

what part of Uk are you in?
Roadster is easily identified by the ABS rings on the wheels / it also has black forks as standard but owners of earlier bikes have been know to blackout their forks ....it also has 2 silencers as standard but again early owners have fitted these to their bikes for a later look ..... the Roadster also has different clocks with the rev counter housing a small gear indicator and fuel gauge

I might add, when deciding between the Roadster and Touring, that you can put bags, windshield, crash bars, etc., etc. on the Roadster and have a bike that will do long distance comfortably. You're just a bit more upright, which I prefer.

I setup my Roadster that way for long trips with camping gear, but when home strip her down to just crash bars and a single seat and it's a whole different bike. The R3T is a touring bike, period, although a great one.
