2009 RIII Standard - 2008 Speed Triple -1995 900 T'Bird
Got a phone call from the local Triumph Dealer this morning wanting to know if I had a stock Standard exhaust system I could 'sell them" Seems they have an '05 RIII that has a homemade noisy dump pipe fitted to it , otherwise a tidy clean machine. Perspective buyer (an older gentleman , like myself) didn't like the dump pipe. Able to do myself a really good deal with the shop ... a few hundred bucks in shop credit and I get the dump pipe exhaust. Reckon the stock system got me $650 or $700.. moral to the story , don't dump your old stock exhaust systems , somebody just may want it one day

Team Moto at Virginia is where I get my work done . Ask for Julian , tell him you're a mate of Trendys he's the workshop Manager and will look after you.

Julians an ex-Wackers guy.. they all called me Trendy at one stage , no idea why. When I worked at Wackers they used to call me Thug .. so I was f#ckin overjoyed when it changed to Trendy

you sure Trendy's fairdinkum? kinda reminds me of the time i told a mate to pick up some parts for me. told him to go straight up too the bloke and introduce himself to 'dick' (supposedly fatty's name). told him he knew me as sucka. the ****in idiot actually did it and nearly got thrown out.

Don't worry the prick argued about 'my price' ... I said " you're f#ckin kidding aren't you " ... " could wack another '0' on the end if the transaction was the other way round" ... informed him Triumph wants $1,700 just for the cast manifold , not counting all the heat-shields and mufflers .. got a "yeh,yeh, ok... ok " cheeky prick !!!!
 

Mate ... if I was going to make-up a nick name it would not be Trendy .. trust me.
 
TC..you are the man...I usually don't get that lucky. I usually end up throwing all that crap away. Had a friend pass away six months ago and a few of us went over to help his widow sort through his garage to figure out what was of value, what was junk, etc. Found multiple complete sets of stock HD exhaust systems and various other stock bits neatly packaged in the aftermarket boxes he replaced them with. None of it worth a dime in my opinion but maybe I'll send her your number
