BW...thanks for the thoughtful response. I feel like Bret Favre I waver back and forth so much. Bottom line is I am going to end up with some version of the R3. I do really like the R3T, and have for quite awhile. I am a bike fan, not a Harleynista, like many of my friends. I too like to be different. Hard to be different on a HD. But like most bikes there are advantages and disadvantages. I appreciate the feedback, it is very helpful as I make a decision. But I can assure you I am coming over to the wild side soon...

hey, rocket man, i just bought my rocket 3 last thurs (12/3) in freezing weather. however, as i was riding the beast home, i was sweating from the RUSH! i love being a rocket captain as i have owned all makes of motorcycles an the rc3 has surpassed all my expectations! regards, stevebeat

Glad to have you among us.

Welcome to the "club";)
Oh yea,
post pics.

Who will be the first to step up and reserve a Roadster from their local triumph dealer? Lucky bastage, whomever it proves to be!

Don't know that I'll be the first, but I'm looking to make a trade if I like what I see and ride when it hits the floor. It'll have to be love at first site since I have no complaints with my Classic.

Probably won't be me either. Though now that I am in a hotel in Dubai I was finally able to access the Roadster video (no restricitons in Dubai...other than **** I would imagine)...that was an "interesting" video.

If I am still in "Rocketland" I am still shooting for the R3T (still wondering if the "optional" ABS can be added to an 09???...probalby not).

By the way, in our country we are soooo messed up with Christmas displays and whether or not it's legal to do this or to do that...I am very dissappointed. Here in the Dubai hotel I am staying at, till my flight to Atlanta tonight, there is a Christmas tree all decked out with Merry Christmas on it....AND I AM IN A MUSLIM COUNTRY!!!

Something is wrong with that picture...

Tommorrow...HOME!!!

..welcome aboard Drew..here's my worthless 2 cents..the rocket (classic or standard) is a cruiser, and what a cruiser it is..the roadglide is a tourer, as you know..also my next bike..If you're gonna keep the Roadglide as the tourer that it is, I would either get the classic, standard, or the new roadster when it's available..you don't need two tourers do you?..I love me rocket (an 06 standard), and wouldn't hesitate to take it across the country, except for one thing..the ***** won't start when the temps drop below 40 degrees..I've changed to a stronger battery, switched out to lighter weight oil for only a short while, (was recommended not to by smarter peeps than me) and nothing but a blast of hot air from a portable heater on the engine for about 20 minutes will let it start when it gets cold..now not all rockets are like that, but mine **** sure is..something to consider if your gonna travel where the temps drop down at night..
