To snuffcityrider - Removed front and rear fenders, rear pegs, and anything that I did not need. Installed a predator exhaust system from British Customs, and re-jetted the carbs to match the pipes. Had some head work done to raise compression and improve combustion. I also changed the gearing slightly by installing a front sprocket that is one tooth smaller than stock. It cut down a little on th top end, but she charges off the line and especially coming out of a corner. Lastly, I installed Pirelli Diablo tires, front and rear.

That's awesome, need to see some pics. I was looking for something like that to tinker with. I test drove a 2000 Legend and really liked it but it was built for midgets, my knees were in my chest. So I wound up with something way different. Last Saturday I picked up an 05 Speed Four, lovin it!

Welcome to the site, its nice to see someone else has a wife that doesn't mind a collection of bikes in the garage I've got four also and always lookin for more. The problem is I can't ride year around if I could I would .

Welcome aboard ... I'd love to hear more about your trailer hitch. Where you got it, how much, how well it works etc. I'm thinking of the trailer idea and the more info I can get the better.

Hellfire, I bought the hitch from HitchDoc. (Online) It went on easily. Because I had LeatherLyke bags, I had to install slightly longer bolts in the clips that the bags use. (This was the hardest part if the installation.) I am impressed with the quality and workmanship of the hitch from HitchDoc. It is made extremely well, with no visible welds, and the chroming was done with no blemishes at all. In addition to the hitch, you will need a wiring harness. Make sure that if you go this route, you get a wiring harness with an isolator so that you get no feedback from your trailer. I ordered mine from Rivco Products online. I hope to get some pictures up soon. I farm for a living - and things are kind of busy right now! Wish I could spend as much time on my Rocket as I do on the John Deere.

Hellfire - I forgot the cost - The hitch was $348.00 from HitchDoc, and the wiring harness from Rivco was $64.00. Hope this helps. Also - the Rocket III, as one would expect, has ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM pulling a trailer. In the group that I ride in, (Harleys, Yamahas, and a Suzuki), it will still out accelerate any of them, with the trailer attached!
