Hello from the Midwest

Thanks for the replies folks, unfortunately due to the crappy weather we have had lately a test ride probably isn't going to happen...bummed...but want to look at one,sit on it and see if it is a type that occasionally the wife might want to go for a ride on...These bikes are hard to find in my neck of the woods. Harley and Indian rule the area...on that note my latest bike was a wing that I had done suspension and exhaust work on.

Look up Rockets Across America. We are all gathering at Maggie Valley NC in June. Love to see everyone there

I am lucky enough to have 3 bikes in my garage - Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Sports/Tourer / Triumph Trophy SE and now the R3 Roadster... Every time I go out these days it is on the Rocket. It feels so good to ride. Low center of gravity, loads of torque, shaft drive, good brakes, far better handling than it has any right to have and such a great "feel" to it. You will love it
Caveats as follows :

1. You should plan on a new seat if you plan to have your good lady on the back quite often unless she is a newer model with a slim posterior
2. Once you buy it you will want to upgrade it... especially if you read the stuff from the gang on here ... costing me a fortune ;-)
3 If you do much riding at night you will need to buy upgraded headlights - but can pick up a pair of LED units for about $100

4. If you ride it you will want to buy it....

Update - I just saw your latest comment - :) Good choice sir -Enjoy and welcome to the crew !
