Hi Gang,
I have just become the proud owner of an 06 Rocket 3 with 10k on it. It has had the Tune boy cat by-pass, Tor mufflers and software installed and it sounds better than any Harley.
The one issue I do have is an unearthly rattle-grinding noise from the clutch when taking off in first (not all the time) and other times around 1500 to 2000 rpm. I can not put a finger on it as it just comes and goes. Hoping I can fix this so it will sound as good as it looks. Looking forward to reading all the news from fellow R3 owners

Welcome to the forum mate from Brisbane Australia . I'm sure someone will chime in soon on the problem/noise you are having I'm sure I've heard someone else mention this recently

Easy fix take off in second gear get it looked at before it gets any worse, and welcome .

Thanks Guy's for the welcome. i should have said that the rattle happens in other gears also. Just talked to the previous owner who had bike from new, he is going to give ne his 10cents worth as to history of bike.

Another g'day from Downunder. Noises like that should be looked at before they get worse. Tell the previous owner to give you his 10 Aussie cents worth - they're worth more!!
