Mobil1 for me as well.

On my Roadster by recommendation from warp9 if you can move the arm (the arm that is hooked to the clutch cable there at the engine) by hand with the clutch let out then your doing good. My transmission was clunky as well. I adjusted the cable so the arm had free play using my fingers and was amazed on how quite, and easily the gears are to change.

I found that my R3 was noisy also.A buddy of mine told me to try Zmax and it worked real fine .Shifts much smoother the cluck is still there but seems to be a much healthier sound. Time will tell if I did right in doing this! Barney

Hello all ,thank you for info oil at moment in bike is castrol power 1racing 4t 10 w_40,will change it for Mobil 1 ,will also give clutch clearance another go ,bike brilliant other wise see triumph going for land speed record ,2 r3 engines hope his clutch adjusted to 2 mm ? thanks again .

Especially if it has not had the updated second gear. It might bebdraging a little more do to the extra dogs.I am not sure what oil you using but agree with the above statement. Ok I can not speak to that oil as triumph recommended mobile 1 4RT 15W50 FOR MY 06 AND 07. THE 10W40 was listed as a secondary choice. I ran the mobile 15w50 for 42,000 miles and had no complaints even the 24,000 miles with the TTS kit and know problems. Most of the the time I change oil at 5,000 miles. Once I modified the internals I switched to a higher grade racing oils that had more additives and less epa monitoring but still stay with thhe 15W50 weight. I have say I like Motul 300V 15w50 rt and Red Line 20W50 depending on my riding style I shoot for 5000 miles on both but if she starts feeling like its loosing its lubricity say after 4000 miles or so which I can feel in the clutch and transmission. I change it out. Good oil is better and cheaper then Good engine parts.
