So, spent the morning installing DNA filter and AIS blocking plates. I took off the fuel quick disconnect. But even before I smelled a bit of gas. Put it all back together. Heard a distinct click as the disconnect snapped back on. Tried starting it and it just cranked with gas pouring down on the engine. So just wondering if I pulled off a gas line somewhere between the QD and the underside of the tank. Not really up to tearing everything back apart today, so trying to get some ideas on what to look for.

Ok, thanks for the response. I couldn't stand it, so I took it all apart again. Under the tank there's a banjo fitting to the fuel pump like a brake line fitting, but bigger. That was super loose. I cant believe that just the little bit of movement lifting the tank and messing with the quick disconnect was enough to get it that loose. Gas was literally pouring out . I got a stubby 18 mm box wrench in there and cranked it down. Took a test ride and all good. So good that I posted this thread about it. Everybody should check that fitting if they have the tank lifted for the air filter or something. I bet mine would have loosened eventually just from vibration if it was that loose from the factory. Friday afternoon bike? ha ha. late for the pub.

Glad that was it. Upon first read I thought you probably cracked the plastic quick connect (I'm still looking for a metal replacement).

I wish they would have just made the fuel hose 3" longer. It would be so much easier to get to the disconnect and see what you're doing.
I didn't pay attention to the hose diameter, but I bought stainless QD for my KTMs from beemer boneyard. Crap plastic on those too....correction, chrome plated brass, not stainless

I used to deal with them when I had my R1200RT (great bike!). The only listing I see on there that might (?) work is this one... 🤔

We had a whole thread on this a while back. According to @Tal the size is 7.89mm (=.3 inches, or roughly 1/4") so maybe that one would work.
