So, spent the morning installing DNA filter and AIS blocking plates. I took off the fuel quick disconnect. But even before I smelled a bit of gas. Put it all back together. Heard a distinct click as the disconnect snapped back on. Tried starting it and it just cranked with gas pouring down on the engine. So just wondering if I pulled off a gas line somewhere between the QD and the underside of the tank. Not really up to tearing everything back apart today, so trying to get some ideas on what to look for.

Ok, thanks for the response. I couldn't stand it, so I took it all apart again. Under the tank there's a banjo fitting to the fuel pump like a brake line fitting, but bigger. That was super loose. I cant believe that just the little bit of movement lifting the tank and messing with the quick disconnect was enough to get it that loose. Gas was literally pouring out . I got a stubby 18 mm box wrench in there and cranked it down. Took a test ride and all good. So good that I posted this thread about it. Everybody should check that fitting if they have the tank lifted for the air filter or something. I bet mine would have loosened eventually just from vibration if it was that loose from the factory. Friday afternoon bike? ha ha. late for the pub.
