According to Triumph's website they have "new strengthened bars." They might be worth a look since they have nice pegs to mount on them.

Thanks Pigger for the response and the foot rests are very nice looking indeed. Is there a difference in the two brands of bars regarding tubing diameter that may need some consideration and if so does the diameter limit the sources that can by used to purchase foot rests? Thanks SB.

I'm 6'1" and there is no way that my legs would reach that far forward to make highway pegs useful. I just hang my feet over the pegs and rest them on the back of my ankles. Most comfy. Do you guys with boards have any method for stretching out without resorting to highway pegs?

tdragger thanks for that bit of insight regarding physical height and bar/peg location. Since the highway pegs are that far forward they would not do me anygood anyway...at least not that style. That brings me back to bar diameter and whether there are any aftermarket bars that will fit the OEM "updated" Truimph dresser bars. I have seen designs of highway pegs like I have on my Valk that would adjust back quite a ways...if the bar diameter is correct. Thanks for the info...SB.

i have the rivco bars along with the highway pegs and they give me lots of room to move around i also have there floor board kit. i am 6'5" and 310 lbs and both have held up fine and seem very strong

Almost anything you can buy to fit 1" diameter bars you can also buy to fit 1 1/4" bars. Don't let bar diameter deter you from buying.................
