I took my bear claw off today and found my RamAir filter is ripped around the rubber boots. Needs to be replaced. Before ordering, I thought I would check here to see if anyone has one sitting around if maybe someone converted back to OEM or went K&N pods.

Also thinking of giving the K&N RU-2780 filter pods a go. If you happen to have three filters no longer needed, please let me know.

Thanks

The new version of the RamAir has the grooves in the throat so it fits better on the throttle bodies and stays on better without over tightening the clamps.

Yeah ... but it is under the Bear Claw. OOPPSS !

Thanks for the tip. Now trying to decide if I want to switch to the K&N’s or get another RamAir. I like how the RamAir performs for sure.

Jay i know you didnt ask about other filters but after reading some of the guys in Australia say they really like the uni filters i ordered a set and will be testing next month at tune, if you dont buy before then i can let you know how they did, the ramair is definitely a good unit and will allow motor to go over 200. As well as the k&n you ask about as we know alot of captains use them. Just thougt id share, ramair for air temp sensor.

@Kevin frazier , that RamAir you were washing looks like mine. I believe I slipped the hose clamp when I was in a hurry before a ride and ripped the boot. Thanks for the tip on the Uni’s. I was able to repair the boot with a silicon sealent. Seems to be working well so I can wait until your report on the Uni Filters.

RamAir has 62mm Pods Part Number: MR-011 as well that should work and reasonable price too!

Here is a listing, but Google 'RamAir Pod MR-011' yourselves to find best price availability locally in your own country.

Think Dellorto not VESPA ;):roll::roll::roll:
