Found a way to keep the radiator heat from cooking my lower leg

Riding in hot weather makes radiator fan exhaust just skin melting, specifically the right lower leg, somewhere above the ankle.

So, found and bought one of these that someone makes at home. Not the most beautiful thing by far, yet functional.

Wish they used some jeans material to match my own jeans somewhat. Now it looks like I have a cast, I think.
 
That is ugly, might as well just get some chaps. Or kevlar jeans...and add a kevlar heat liner patched on the inside of the pant leg
 
Don’t ride in jeans… but that’s your free choice.
Rather wear them underneath your pants with taller socks to ensure comfort.
Mid mounts will help but at a severe price point.
Race boots, or taller riding boots
 
That's awesome, I just might get one. I have something similar, but it's one piece, it's a pain in the butt to take your shoe on and off to put it on. I couldn't care less if it's pretty or not.
 
..Na...na..na...thats fugly as!...ive never experienced 'skin peeling' heat off any of the 3 GT's ive owned...and ive ridden in 30c plus heat.....i do wear boots that come well up my leg so maybe thats why?..dunno...

So little but so helpful, a splash guard for your front fender. My radiator before was always dirty.
