'13 Rocket III Roadster
Hello Folks,

I just picked up my '13 Roadster over the weekend. I have a '93 Vulcan that needs some TLC after some mechanical issues that I couldn't afford to get fixed for a few years. At the time buying a house and getting out of my wretched apartment in downtown Denver (CO) was my biggest priority. Well I got the house, and then a bonus gave me enough to get another bike. I plan on fixing the Vulcan and getting her sold off, but who knows how long that'll take and I've been needing to get out and ride again.

I've been poking around and dreaming about a new bike for a couple years now and thought I would be going for a Victory, but about a year ago decided to just wander the web and see what else was out there. I don't remember the first article I read on the Rocket but I decided I liked the look of the bike almost immediately and started trying to find everything I could on it. Naturally I found this site and started lurking around, reading the articles about maintenance, performance, mods, and the general devotion Rocket Captains have for their machines. However I didn't join the forum because I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle a bike this large and didn't want to get even more attached to the idea. Eventually I had enough cash for a down-payment gave her a test spin (or is it launch?) and was in love.

Been too busy riding or getting the 'honey-dos' taken care of (gotta keep my lady appeased so she doesn't start to hate the other woman) to get a good picture of the bike, I'll see about getting something posted later in the week.

welcome aboard from Tucson Arizona.
have you seen the thread about meeting in Montrose in june.

Welcome to the site from New Jersey, Chris. Enjoy the ride, Captain Kelley, comfortable in the knowledge that procuring a Victory would have been ensuring a defeat!

my buddy has a victory vision that is a nice machine and when we get out on the road he always wants to trade off and when he gets off he always has the big grin. and i am always happy to get my rocket back.

I, too ride with a good friend that has both a Vision and their Cross Country. His dealership is 15 minutes from my house and its excellent. I have used them as servicing dealers on two other bikes I have owned. Very soon, just as soon as they procure a new location, I believe that they will become an authorized Triumph dealership in addition to adding Indain, the newly acquired line that Polaris is looking to reestablish.

That said, and after having ridden every Victory made since Polaris bought them out, I have yet to experience anything close to what the Rocket III delivers from any one of them!

Chris Kelley,
First off, welcome to the BEST motor forum in the Country regardless of brand!
Second off, GO SEAHAWKS!
