I want to do the rattler.......as for the rest it doesnt matter to me....we live close enough we can do them anytime and most of them we have....hehehe.....Lake Lure is a really nice area.....chimney rock cost like 10 bucks or more.I can't remember exactly how much. I was just too cheap to pay money to walk up like 2 miles and pay to see A ROCK....... All the routes you have outlines are excellent rides and have fantastic scenery.........I'me sure everyone will enjoy them immensly......

Thanks for the input sweet tenn. chimney rock is still around 10 bucks. but ther is an elevator to take you up very little walking. It is just as beautiful from the deck on one of the local pubs. very cool town. The rattler was great, not a long ride but very fun Hot springs is a cool town. Can I count on you to lead this on if we decide to split into 2 rides each day?

For those movie buffs, Scenes from a number of movies have been filmed at Chimney Rock, including The Last of the Mohicans, Firestarter and A Breed Apart. And just a mile down the road from the Park at Lake Lure, Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny (Patrick Swayze) had the time of their lives while filming the 1987 romantic blockbuster Dirty Dancing

Yeah Steve you can count on us......I kinda thought most people would prefer a short ride since they have a long way to go to get there.But thats just me.....my butt gets sore quick Looks to me like most of the rides,long and short,have pretty much the same route.Most of them include the dragon,hellbender and such.......who knows we might just end up only having one route.But none the less we will be glad to take lead on some for ya.

Fall - Rocket Launch - Update

As of today there are 13 rooms left. I will have to release the hold on the rooms towards the 1st of Sept. if you haven't booked and plan on attending please get your reservations in ASAP.

Still in the planning stages but my sister and her husband are looking to attend. They claim we need a couple of Hardleys around to make the event respectable.

btw, did anyone get the names of the couple that showed up Friday night with the His & Hers Rockets? Are they on the board?

Tdragger - More people the better it will be. I think it was 2rockets from Ohio... I will be sure to pack a SAE toolkit for your friends

I dont think it was 2rockets.I think they stayed across the street in the same motel as us and they were riding double. She doesnt ride a rocket but he has 2 himself.

STB, it was 2 Red Rockets, his and hers. Her's had an interesting homemade sound system storage box attached to her windshield. Tall lady about your size. I remember them saying that they were staying with some friends nearby but didn't know that we were having an event in MV. They were only there for a few minutes.

Just watched the RAAIV DVD from the Scowherds! Wow! Thanks! It is great! I think we all should send a token of our appreciation. It must have taken a lot of work.

Makin me think about doin the "Fall Launch".
