I took a 22 out for a demo, it has the werks exhaust and while it sounds pretty cool with all the crackling on decel it felt a bit weak in the midband. I've been riding a 1290 SDR for a decade so I can't but wonder help if my expectations are just a bit off? Any 2500 c.c owners ride a SDR that can offer their impressions?
I don't have an SDR but I have this:

My Rocket won't keep up with that bike either, however I can keep up with my son-in-law on his 1050 Speed Triple. That was made a lot easier after I put the Penner tune into the ECU. The mid-range punch is better than the stock settings. Also, the OEM fuel maps are restricted in SPORT mode to about 70% so you can add some oomph by adjusting the ETV settings in that mode to 100%. The Penner tune or DNK tune adds about 30 more ponies from the stock maps. One note, any time you fiddle the maps on the Gen 2 bikes you'll have to run a switch check to regain cruise control, otherwise you get an invisible DTC 1275. After I put the Penner tune in I ran the switch check and today was my first opportunity to test the cruise, worked like a charm. I also noticed my hill hold problem may be resolved. Neato!

I had a 2013-14 speed triple se, really liked the Matte silver/blue paint job, but I found that one didn't quite live up to the hype. I still wonder if was a friday afternoon build it was so far off the bar reviews set for it. Thanks for the heads up on the map update.

The 1050's were a bit heavy and poorly sorted (my son-in-law has a 2010 Anniversary edition, that was sorted when we installed a "Tune of Death" into his ECU). And it weighs about 90 pounds more than my 1200.

The rocket is heavy. Bottom line. Weight makes a big difference. I have two 1290 Adv. Bikes. And I expected more from the rocket with its specs. But the extra weight over the 1290's is significant
