Right then. The next update. The beast runs !!

In fact it's f**king loud with no silencers or cat box fitted :)

After working my way through the wiring, cleaning the fuel system, fitting new plugs and checking the ignition system, I refitted the tank and thought that I'll just turn the motor over to see what happens. The daughter lives five doors down and came running over because of the noise :)

So now I will refit the rear wheel (painted satin black), with new disc and pads (waiting for a caliper from the US to arrive). The front wheel will then get painted and the beast will get MOT'd and taxed. Yeah!

patience and knowledge are paying off good on you!! BTW why the propellers on the dc-3 pictured on your avatar look feathered??

The photo was taken at Elvington Air Museum in Yorkshire. The DC-3 was also a non runner, but the volunteer crew have got both engines running now (after a few dramas and one fire).

BTW, The Roulette Green Speed 4 was mine.....................and I'm the short bloke :)

ok I did not notice the short bloke beside the kaw green not that short anyway!! but those propellers got my attention having flown the type for several years in every conceivable weather .I never saw propellers left in the feather position on the ground for any length of time unless the oil was totally drained out . goes to say you learn all the time . have a happy holidays
