I did the idle/stall fix, which is posted elsewhere here under a sticky thread that is locked. The idle seems fine now, but the engine light will not go off. Any thoughts as to what I did wrong?
Tried that but it did not make any difference. I rode about 40 miles today and the bike is now in "limp" mode, or whatever Triumph calls it, and although it is running fine it makes no power when the throttle is twisted -- sort of like the engine has a governor. I am going to ride it tomorrow and see if it resets. If not I guess I will take it to a dealer. Aggravates me since I have only had it a week, but I have no one to blame but myself.
If anyone is interested, the dealer in Sarasota, FL (Haps Cycle Sales) figured out why my engine light was staying on. After a lot of diagnosis, it turned out to be the battery. It would start the bike but would not hold enough of a charge to reset everything. Haps worked with the factory on this project and took good care of me. Recommended dealer for those in the Florida area.
