I started to install the engine guards or crash bars, left side went smooth, right side a big pain, there is a bolt that holds the engine but it just spins, looks like there is a nut behind it somewhere but cant see it, has anybody taken that bolt off and how??

Lupe look in a straight line on the other side of the bike I think it is a 17mm could be wrong get someone to hold it with a wrench and loosen from the other side .. remember and get a jack under the engine to hold the weight

That bolt goes straight through to the other side, you are just spinning the nut on the other side. You must support the motor and take that bolt out.

Just looked at your picture go to the oil tank look at the left of the tank and you will see the end of the long bolt that you will have to remove, put a jack under the engine, the bolt might need a wee tap to get it out but it will come

Have you ever met Lupe if you have you will understand, Our Lupe is like a kid you have to tell him two or three times before he will listen
Oh you mean like my know everything 21 year old son that has to do it and break it before I get to fix it right? I understand.

How hard is it to line the hole up again when the bolt has to go in again? do i have to wedge the engine a little with the jack? is that the only bolt holding that monster engine in place??
