Dyna Beads

I've used Ride on for years on several different bikes. I always have a smooth ride and good wear.

This video is GREAT at showing the theory working in real world conditions.

 
Ride-On is not messy. When you take the tire off, all the goop is stuck inside. You can still smear it around with your finger, but it does not run out. It's a lot thicker than green slime, etc. etc. And it washes out with plain water. Some tire shops hate the beads, as they go everywhere, and sometimes jam up the machine.
 
That's them. The theory I do get.

But is that really real world?- as well as symmetric vibration (things what never change) there are asymmetric ones - like road surfaces. I don't dispute it works - I'm just not 100% sure I understand it all - And I have to at least eliminate my doubts. Also in a single track tyre there are other forces at work. Not saying worse or good / bad, just different.

@cootertwo - Aha - I see. I've only ever seen the slimy green stuff.

Well, I still do not understand how or why it works, but it does. Look at your washing machine, sometimes the clothes get all bunched up in one spot, and on the spin cycle, it will do Michael Jackson across the room, if not tied down. You would think that anything inside a tire, would do the same thing, but for some strange reason, it doesn't ?????
 

I guess I meant "real world" in that it wasn't an animation or plastic bottle hooked to a drill.
You can see a real tire, you can see the imbalance, you can see the balancing media at work and you can see the results.

This video; to me, is proof that this type of balancing media isn't 'snake oil'.
A person can make an argument that weights are better; but not that these products do nothing for balance.

So, at the end of the day; the main question is 'what results do you expect from balancing'?
For me it's a smooth ride, steady steering and good tire wear.
I'm very satisfied with Ride-on in all three categories.
 
The main thing I like about Ride on is, as the tire wears, balance area needs can move & a weight does not move with the needs to adjust - the beds & the balancing liquid DO move to the area of need as that changes with tire wear!
 
The bugger here is - NOT SOLD IN SPAIN. Yes I can get it from Holland. I shall have a word with Victor and his dad - see if they are up for a bit of R&D at the next tyre change - I think balance AND Ride-On maybe.

The beads thing - Well in a bespoke sealed ring - I am more inclined to trust. Call it moderation borne of a lifetime of suspicion.
