How's it do in the wet?
took to it like a duck to water.
Ain't scared to ride in the rain, or on wet roads At ALL.
Between the Raptor on the back,
and the Dunlop on the front,
it handles good now, rain or shine.

All right. I just ordered my Riken Raptor 225/55/16 so I will let you know when it goes on and how I like it. Sounds like a trip to the Kentucky mountains is in order. Thanks to all for the info, especially Rainman, NM Rocket, and the ever present and effervescent Gr3yWolf;).

I think I know who is in this pic, but what air pressure were you running at RAA IV ?

This has to be the best in action pic by far. Still want to know what pressure it was at when pic was taken.

I was on the fence back in October and already had a Metz ordered at the dealer and couldn't back out. Just FYI here is a link to a pretty reasonable new Metz.
Metzeler ME-880 Marathon Motorcycle Tire
Go down to the bottom to find the rear tires and they're $212.95 plus shipping.

I rode Skip's and thought the counter-steer that I encountered was from his handlebars. He said that it was from the rear tire. If that is so then there is a pretty noticeable addition of counter-steer effort going to the dark side. His bars are much narrower than stock and I'm happy with my "stockers". I'd like to see more comments about that. Other than that I will probably go dark next time but I am still on the fence. I love the handling of my Rocket and don't want to give any up I don't have to.

The helmets do look different?? Oh, and no bags on the other. The first one!

Both pics are of me but at different times on the Dragon. The first was in May 2009 and the other was in September the same year.

The front tire is a plain ol' Dunlop D404. H rated which is plenty for me. They work well wet or dry. I'm on my 2nd one and they are about $120 each.
