Clutch free play question.

i have my clutch adjusted properly with the correct amount of free play. In fact, I usually adjust my clutch just to the point where there is no drag, making it difficult to get into neutral or difficult getting into first when sitting at a light. This drag can be more noticeable in warm weather when things are really hot.

My question is...has anyone ever noticed how any and all free play goes away when running down the highway at speed? Free play is fine at idle. It just seems as though it should still remain. Apparently thing change when everything is flying around. Just wondering..

u would not think that it would change.
but mine takes up the free play when i make a left corner.
and it is not pulling on the cables

Set it the way Manual says and you will not have problems. Set it ANY other way and you will.

I'll have to check that out and see what happens.

I have done that as well, but it still goes away at speed.
