Clarify for Me, Please

Oh yeah, that's right.. lol :) Of course, you're a Cher fan... :) Are you going to wear any of the Cher outfits?...

I would if I had any  But of course I won't look near as good as she does. Was almost thinking about buying a Cher wig for the occasion. :D But perhaps I will stick with a jersey I bought from her Believe tour and jeans of course.

Bear is doing real well with his back. He seems to think that in just another few weeks he might try riding again. I hope he isn't rushing it too much. If he rushes too much and jars his back it could cause him to have to re-do his surgery. And that won't be good. He has one of those heavy duty tens units that plugs into electric outlet. He used to use it alot and most of the time it helped. But he hasn't used it since the surgery. Thinking it would be a mistake until he is completely healed. But I don't think he has needed it. He says he doesn't have the old pains he used to have. Just has some occasional pain that is probably surgery related.

Did anyone notice that in the Cycle World article, the R3T didn't fair too well in 1/4 mile and 0-60 times either. I think it was 3rd or 4th out of 8. I was a little disappointed in that.

Rocket III

I am also glad to have an original Rocket III. 2007 Classic Tourer, current mods include TORS, Cat-Elim, O2 Terminated, individual K&N's, w/tune from Pig9R 100% in all gears, etc. I thought 110 happened on the on ramp just as your shifted out of 3rd, getting up to road speed.
Am I correct or hallucinating again.

Given the stock tune, those times aren't surprising. With the stock 20233 tune the secondaries are only open 20% in the first two gears at lower RPMs and peak at 41%. They are open at 100% in 4th and 5th but only through 2500 RPMs then they start dropping to 41% also.

For whatever reason Triumph felt the Touring model needed a much more sedate level of performance. Luckily for us, they seem to have accomplished it via the tune. A set of pipes, filter and a little Tuneboy magic and those 110 mph third gear on ramps are achievable. Unfortunately, just as you pass that 110 mark, you're done. Wayne was requested by Triumph to remove the ability from Tune Edit to change the speed limiter. As I understand it, the H rated tire was the reason.

I can live with the 120 limit, now that I can get there so much faster....
