Changes between 2014 and 2015 model year Roadsters?

I have a 2015 Roadster. The one and only difference in the two year model bikes can be found on the VIN plate. One will say 2014 and the other 2015. They changed nothing at all. I have the matt black and LOVE it.

Richard,
As merely a point of interest, are you positive ALL Roadsters have ABS?
I understood some 2010 models did not.

They were optional during the early portion of that year's production run.

Of course I can't say that absolutely none were released without ABS BUT it was the big selling point of the then new Roadster: it had ABS as standard. I've never seen a Roadster without ABS and there's no listing for non-ABS brake parts for a Roadster in the Triumph Electronic Parts Catalogue that dealers use. I guess it's possible that some early examples were slapped together with left over bits and sold to you Yanks but all Roadster are meant to have had ABS and I'm as certain as I can be that there are none in Australia without ABS. ABS was optional on the early and some later Touring models though.

That's because you Aussies get pretty much everything secondarily, Richard, being located at the arse end of the rest of the world. In this case, though, it worked to your advantage.;)

Wait a minute, now that I think of it, you guys almost always make that work to your advantage, dontcha'?

Hey folks, I'm looking at a new 2014 Roadster that's heavily discounted, its black gloss with the red stripes. I really want 2015 with the matte finish, but for the 3000 more it would be, it's not really worth it since I can just have the panels painted for less than a grand. So my honest question is, what changed between the 2014 and 2015 years other than the paint options? I don't want to kick myself later for not getting a 2015 if there has been any other changes that I would have liked.

Thanks ya'll!

Hey John! first of all welcome to the forum from Holland!
If there are no differences between the bikes then it is an easy choise. But the repaint thing you mentioned...I would think twice to before executing that thought on your brand new bike..'

Michel

Yeah, it was optional on the Tourings, and mine doesn't have it. It was also a bike that was last year's when I got it though and it was so much cheaper than the other options I went for it regardless. Plus, I got the best color combo, black/red, so that's worth an increased chance of death. :p

ive ordered a 2015 model to pick up in march, dealer told me theres no differences from 2014 model.the only model change is the rocket X

I saw the Rocket X in person yesterday; number 007 of 500 was on display (and for sale) in Helsinki in the bike show there. It was very very black. ;) Not my thing really but it certainly got a lot of attention.
