Took the Rocket out for about 100 miles around Keller, Flower Mound, Grapevince, Southlake, North Richland Hills and some highway thrown in to get above 75mph. I wanted to evaluate the efficacy of the Cerakote on the exhaust headers for heat reduction at stops and gave it all kinds of stop light opportunities to roast my right thigh. Good news the heat has been abated enough I don't feel I must find a different time zone for my right leg at stop lights. The heat is still there to be sure, but it's no longer ferocious, meaning it has hit "tolerable" levels. My motorcycle pants are a bit loose fitting which helps too. The ceramic coating is formulated to withstand 1800 degrees F so I wasn't worried about the coating peeling or flaking, I had it coated to reduce the thermal signature of the exhaust manifold and it seems to have quelled the BTUs the manifold puts on my right thigh, so I'm calling it a win. Next up a romp around Arkansas in October (tho not part of the Eureka Springs run, sadly).
