Has anyone removed the Cat from the stock roadster exhaust system? What extra parts would I need to do that? Is it worth the trouble?

If memory serves the catalyst is in the silencers. To remove it, replace the silencers with an aftermarket system.

Thanks guys. I am almost done with my triples upgrade. Shipping on some of these parts was kind of a hassle and took much longer than it should have in my opinion. I am cutting the claw tomorrow and will be installed and dyno tuned by Friday if all goes well.

My understanding is that the Roadster has cats in each muffler. The Staintune collector is perhaps a more efficient one than standard - larger diameter maybe (not sure) - but didn't think it deleted all the cats. There's been lengthy debate on here about it so I'm happy to stand corrected.

cat

Yes i thought so too Richard but my good friend that has a 2010 roadster had his stock silencers modified on the gold coast to more suit the style he wanted and he said they had no cat in there.
However this is based on his word alone so if i am wrong i appolagise for any false information i may have miss understood what he said also maybe he was meaning his had no cat in the silencers as they wher removed when modified ?
regards mitch

If I had a Roadster I'd go with the Staintune pipes too then, just to be sure. They do look good.

My only complaint with sound is it would be nice to have a little more at idle they sound nice under throttle though
