Bunbury dealer sacked

Spot on tc the bloke who owns the Harley shop in Gladstone was forced to open a second shop and remove any thing that was not Harley
Hardly a surprise. When I was still living in Germany - back when Buells had modified "Sportster" engines; Harley made their dealers put "their" Buells in different showrooms as they were killing Sportster sales.

An R3 buyer will buy an R3 regardless, imo. Except maybe R3T vs RoadKing.
But Thunderbird vs Dyna or Speedmaster vs Sportster - tough competition.

What to say? Hummm, well, my Rocket has completely destroyed my desire to ride my 06 hardley 1200 sportster, even my 04 Kaw ZRX1200r is growing cob webs. Hardley is just one great big corporation like any other big business. They look at the bottom line year by year, and make adjustments and predictions for the next year. Now they have finally given water cooling to their outdated vtwin, when they could have just as easily switched to their already made water cooled porsche engine (V rod). I dunno, to me it's kinda like installing a pace maker, to keep it going a little while longer.

Other than the V-Rod...from what I understand they have the head water cooling system in only three models.

No way I would give up my R3T fora Road King.

I dont know if any of you other WA guys have noticed but there is a new Bunbury dealer called Millards (I think) and a new Geraldton dealer. It was in the Triumph advert in the Sunday Times.
Chapmans seemed to have disappeared off the Triumph list of WA dealers ,but no great loss me thinks.

I was told Harley Davidson Aust. is threatening shops that carry both Triumphs and H.D brands that if they don't get rid of the Triumphs their H.D Dealership will be revoked. From a very reliable source in the trade.

Well I guess that means Peter Stevens will have to open, or close a couple of outlets
