British torture device.

I used to think that way too, until I lost 80 pounds 1 year ago. Now I realize that the new me could kick the old me's a$$ ALL DAY LONG
And the best part is I can now tie my own f'n shoes!!!! AND my "rocket" doubled in size... to 2 inches
Good on ya. A few years ago I went from 320lbs to 260lbs, wife didn't like it,insurance company almost cancelled my life insurance renewal because of protein counts in my blood. I have gone from 300 to 290 the last couple weeks, I'll probably drop back to 250-260, But that's about as far as I can go, I am just a big fellow, as my doc says, BMI DOES NOT apply to me.
On another note, switch to metric, 2"= 50MM, 140ci=2300cc, SOUNDS like a bigger number

Right on w/metric!....... BTW, I had the high protein counts too at a couple of 6 month check ups. they said because of the amount of bicycle riding, ect that I was probably just dehydrated so they made me take a 1 gallon jug & pee in it for the next 48 hours plus drink more water. after that the test #'s came in normal & since then I have made myself drink more water every day & the last 2 checkups I had no high #'s - So try that
And yea, BMI is for sh!t.... get as low as your natural low will let you. F'k the scales. You will feel sooooo much better!!!!!

I ate more carbs and red meat than normal at the time, retested after 2 weeks and was fine, they even had my old weight on file, and the new weight, and still were iffy on the whole thing. I keep eating mediteranean style food, weight comes off, better for the heart, LOVE the food, so it never feels like a diet to me.
I am due in Toronto in July, I'll meet up with @canecorso to build me a seat, will update when its done.

I like the BMI system because it says I'm 'desirable'.
6'1", 170lb and a stomach full of happy worms.

2 Laminectomies for me. L4/L5. I recommend a good neurologist over the orthopedic. The second time has helped more than the first.

AGREED and good advice!
I asked three MDs I know who they would have do their back surgery.
Everyone of them chose the same neurologist.
I went to him!

YOU CAN SEE YOURS? I can't wait to lose more weight and gain inches in my rocket!

Wife was watching Doc OZ and I overheard him report twas ½ inch gain for every 50# lost!

Norm, go for the Corbin. If you don't like it they will change it make it right for free.
I had my seat raised about 1.5", widened a bit and the top 1.5" inches are of a much softer material.

I have ridden on this seat for 1000 miles in one day butt busters and was not even sore a bit.
