British torture device.

The stock seat isn't really that bad, comparatively speaking. Just ugly. But a big guy should fill the whole curve of the seat and get good support. ;)

Another thing to look into for long runs might be an Airhawk. They do genuinely work on eliminating hotspots.

I just put a Mustang seat on mine. Awesome in most ways, but holy hell was it snug. And by snug I mean I had to put a strap around the front brake to create a parking brake, lean with my full strength/weight against the rear of the seat with the left hand and shove it forward against the tank with one hand until the seat cover wrinkled up against the tank, insert bolt... and then the real hard work began of trying to get the other mounting tab over the mounting hole by literally hanging off the lower lefthand part of the seat to yank it down and forward. It's pretty much a two-man job, only barely managed it.

But it sure is pretty, and fairly comfy already, does need some break-in.
STOCK seat is great on my 09 Rocket I love it BUT Im not 130 LBS overweight LOL

Well....now I know who's lunch I'm stealing today:evil:, I dropped down to 260 a couple years ago, and my wife hated it, thought I looked too skinny, some of us are just large men period. Down side is, everybody always asks us to move fridges and old hide a beds:banghead:

The only Triumph models that have a decent seat are the T'bird LT and Commander. Man, that is an amazing seat. All the others, Rockets, Trophys, B'villes, etc. use too soft foam and it simply crushes all the way to the pan. As much good press that Triumph got from the T'bird seats, you would think that they would spread the same tech to all the other models.

I'm 6'2" and a light 332lbs, theirs a Corbin Touring with a driver back rest. I've had a few all day rides with no dariair issues.

I did mention I'm on Jenny Craig. I was at 340 last month. I'm down to 315. I am working on it and I do feel better.

Congratulations on recognizing the problem and and working to correct it. I've never had a weight problem but over the last few years my cholesterol started creeping up. Doctor threatened medication so I made some diet changes. I always felt eating pizza once a week wasn't a bad thing. Of course I'd get an extra large and have enough leftovers for two lunches. That's still only once a week, right??

Anyway, get after the problem before you get to be my age. Change doesn't get easier as you get older.

My wife and I just rode 900 miles in three days, not hard to do but it let us see how well we liked it for touring. We both thought it was a great bike and both thought it was comfortable. My bike has the Triumph Long Haul Touring Seat with the riders backrest. This is the first bike I've ever ridden with electronic cruise control, that is the best add on a guy can do if he does any serious cruising. I set it at seventy five or eighty and just enjoy the ride. We also purchased a Harley tour pac that looked good on the bike and with it and the stock saddle bags we had plenty of room and even extra. Our route was Las Vegas to Prescott Az then to Flagstaff Az then to Page Az then to Bryce Canyon Utah then back to Las Vegas.
