Brake pedal replacement, what should I know?

Yep! I've been and done it. I dropped the beast in a low speed turn round. At least I now know I can pick it up again

I've sourced replacements OEM for the front and rear brake lever/pedal @ nearly £125GBP OUCH! However, I was wondering if there's anything I need to know before fitting the rear. I think the front is straight forward enough.
Other damage, fortunately is minimal.
I did think of trying to straighten them but they're too important an item to have fail at a later date so new it is.

Any pointers apart from don't fall off in future?

About to replace my brake pedal as well .. was bent by removalists during move West. Looks straight forward enough... and I too thought of trying to tweak it straight but had a spare pedal so might as well fit the straight one.

Brake pedal is solidly mounted onto the foot peg rail .. if I didn't have a spare pedal down the shed I would have had a go at straightening the bent one. Don't think I'd even have bothered removing it to bend it back straight.

Just a little concerned about it being work hardened and snapping. However, if I was going to replace it anyway what the hell, at least I'd be saving nearly £100GBP
