I am considering buy the XL size of the Bikers Friend. Does anyone have any experience with these? I like the fact that they are rigid, have the backrests and from what i hear are well made. Are there any other similar itmes on the market that you can reccomend? Does $250 sound expensive?

I've heard of them, never used one.

I personally think you'd be better off just buying a SkyRoll.

I believe Men's Warehouse has them in store if you want to take a look.

The added bonus for me would be the garment bag, if that's not important for you then there are probably better options.

$250 seems high to me for what the BF is (and isn't).

Thanks...I also found a thread on here from last year about the same thing. I guess there is one made by lazyrider.com but it isn't as large....but is more affordable. I'm thinking I'm still probably going ot go with the bikersfriend as I've got a big ride coming in May and I'll surely appreciate any space I have.

I used a medium one last year in some extreme weather and it was great, I wish I'd got a small one for everyday use and a big one for touring.
Here is a pic, sorry its not good but its all I have

and here it is on my brothers v-rod muscle

I have 2 friends with the Ultra Tour bags and they both love them...never any leakage and packs everything they need. I've been thinking about adding the Saddle Bag also, based on my friend's experience with their products. Seems like a good choice.

I have the same bag as idk. Mine doesn't have the miles on it that his has, but my impressions are the same. Excellent quality and capacity.

I have just bought my second Bikers Friend XL size for my new Rocket 3 Classic. My first one died in my accident in 08'. But I never had a problem with it. The construction is top notch. And you can stuff it with a piss load of stuff! Hell, I brought home a 28 piece chicken dinner along with all the fixins and still had a little room in there. And if you really think its expensive, try buying the Corbin Beetle Bags!!! I just did in two tone paint! Not cheap!! But worth it in every way.

Then I think this will be the bag for me. Nothing but rave reviews anywhere I look. I really dig the way the backrest ability. And for some reason I am suddenly craving fried chicken.
