Lol.. He asked how far is Marfa from Denton.. lol This ain't Oklahoma.. It's far enought that it's just FAR.. Actually, not too bad.. it's a good 8 hours though.. 9 if you add lunch, pottie breaks, etc...
It's been a few years since I've been there, but there is some beautiful riding once you get there. Shoot, I will keep those dates in mind as well...

I would love to go on this ride, but if the missus goes I'll never get outta here on the rocket. She will insist on taking the V twin powered queen seat . How does the RAA thing work? Somebody just gets a wild hair and puts one together? Riding the sisters would be fun with a bunch of rockets

Yes... that is basically how the RAA thing works. Lately they've been in Maggie Valley, NC because those guys only have to ride 100 miles to cross 3 states.. lol just kidding!
It started as a group of guys on here wanting to meet up.. then became annual.. and now seems like at least twice a year...
There was a gathering in the Hill Country a few years ago (which I did not make even though it's less than 100 miles from me!!) And we've had a couple in Eureka Springs, AR.. I made RAA III which was there.
Hope to get in some more rides this year. My son plays club soccer as a goal keeper and is very good.. and that keeps me on the road. BUT he tore his medial meniscus and has surgery next week and will be out of commision for at least 6 months. I feel terrible about it.. but I will get to get some riding in this summer.. lol

The BMOA New Ulm Rallye in New Ulm, TX is coming up May 17-19th. We could put something together around that? I did that a few years ago.. ( and did not make it after I set up the reservations! )..
