Big Bend Poker Run

The BMOA New Ulm Rallye in New Ulm, TX is coming up May 17-19th. We could put something together around that? I did that a few years ago.. ( and did not make it after I set up the reservations! )..

British Motorcycle Owners Association of Houston Texas

There is also the Harvest Classic in Luckenbach, TX Oct 18 -19th. This one I almost always make..

Harvest Classic- A European & Vintage Motorcycle Rally » A Benefit for Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation

Or just our own thing in the Hill Country would be nice too..
Why don't you guys put the RAA Fall Launch together in Texas so i can go? :D Normally it is around last weeks of October, that way the guys attending the Spring RAA can recoup financially and go to the Fall Launch? Just an idea.
We put the last one together at the Hub in Eureka Springs last year with the help of Andy (Ogre) Skip and other guys, we had a blast but been there done that, we are ready to see new horizons:)
All you need to do is find a gathering place with nice roads to ride and it is done:)

Ok. This sounds like fun. There are a lot of pretty cool places to ride in Texas. I'll dig around, come up with a few ideas and post on here so you guys can vote on the whys and wherefores of the weekend. Tentative target is Oct. 15...ish. If anyone else has thoughts on where the Texas Launch should happen throw 'em out there for consideration.

In in for sure

If you guys get this set up, please include me in it. I would love to get around other R3's...tired of explaining to all the HOG guys what it is, and why I only have three pipes..:D.

Bandera and the Three Sisters is a decent ride to consider. Lots of lodging, good food, and beautiful scenery.

Be interesting to know how they go combining all them " beer stops" with " riding". The two normally don't go all that well together, especially if the local cops get wind of it... Sounds like whoever worked out the route could have a little bit of a drinking problem  maybe !!!

Tomcat that is just ho wit is here in the states every weekend there is one of these some where and many bar stops one of the clubs I ride with ( not with anyone club ) has made a point to not hit bars any more said it gives all bikes a bad name that they just bar hop

bump

I thought I'd give this a bump because I'll be heading out early Wednesday morning to get a head start on the pack. ...Just in case there are any TX riders that would want to join in that missed the original post. I'm not much on desert but I've never been to Big Bend and it is in the bucket.

Got Back Sunday

Well this was one I am glad to get off my bucket list as I am not real big on anything associated with desert areas. What made the trip worth the trip was the Marfa lights. OMG! I was spooked, and blown away. I normally don't use the word awesome as it is IMHO used way too much but in this case....they were awesome. There are several you tube videos that do them justice. What are they? I do not know. It was a real treat to watch them though.
