Greg,

You're killing me here. Now I want a VMax too. I dont know where I am going to keep all these bikes or where I am getting the money from either.

Greg,

The VMAX is great but like the video said she does not have the Geometry to handle the curves like a Diavel...Not EVEN close...I think the VMAX can be very dangerous as you can carry alot of speed into a corner and with that heavy of a a bike (250 more than the Diavel) you could go off the road quite easily...Watch some Diavel vids...This bike is a hybrid Superbike/ Cruiser....It carves the corners like a scalperl.

I think VMAXs have killed more people than any other Cruiser for that exact reason. I could take down a VMAX easy with a Rocket Roadster at Deals Gap....The Rocket has excellent geometry...That VMAX just has to much HP and rake for me to take it into any corner at considerable speed. Bear in mind this is the Diavel vs VMAX we are talking about. Get the Diavel! Look for the 2012's...Your friend was in Charleston and that is where I found mine....Got to literally check each Ducati Website under new and look for a 2012.

Good luck Scott and the Augusta Ducati dealer said this in putting the Jeep Fuel pump in the Red 2012....Verbatim.....I sent it to DUCATI USA and they are going to pull his dealership as he does not buy bikes from them anymore and he has no certified tech! Good think this happened on the Red 2012 as who knows what he did to the Black 2012 you were going to buy!

Greg,
This is something I gleaned from the internet. The pump replacement would be like you wanting to get say new shock absorbers for your car. You could get factory made shocks but most people dont because there are aftermarket shocks like Tokico, Bilstein, KYB etc that make shocks that are replacements for those that are as good and mostly better. I think you would agree a shock is an important part of the car.

The 951-0008 part number he mentions is Denso. Below are other makers of this fuel pump. I've ridden and visited with 5 different auto stores here in Austin, none had it in stock, NAPA was the best price at $134 and could get it in 4 days. I looked at pics of this pump on their computer screens, it IS the one found below, and this pump IS configured correctly at the bottom, with a centering peg, with the uptake tube off-center, 2 electric leads up top with the out-flow tube. I could not take any measurements, but I am assuming its a 35mm diameter because the auto poster guy said the holster/carrier had to be trimmed.

1995 Jaguar XJ6
target price $134 - some of these are $170-$207
Walbro GCA338
AC Delco EP490
AirTex E8285M
Delphi 25337934
Delphi FE0200 - in Austin TX, NAPA can order this one for $134
Federal Mogul/Carter P72252
Denso 9510008
GM 25313959
Hella H75014421
Jaguar JLM12159
Jaguar JLM12204
and the list goes on.

The pump is in size and performance of the stock pump. If it fits a car or jeep it is no matter. It fits the fuel assembly properly and it flows the same GPH for the engine.
What you want to do is your business and we will accomodate that. But please understand that we firstly wanted to get you on the road for your ride. In the long run also these pumps are direct replacements.

I was wondering about the pump> My old TC88 had hydraulic lifters at $75 ea, guess what only 2-3 companys on the planet make them and they're the same one's that fit 350 chevy's so I bought chevy lifters for $7. ea So maybe the dude was just trying to get you on the road.

Art I am still waiting on those half price Diavels you were talking about....Rick Morris needs one. Were you serious or BSing? Seriously.

Post one up as I can not find one more and Ducati stops the promo at the end of tomorrow...The 31st.

We need to find a 2012 for Rick and stop manufacturing stories (the half price Diavels and the 10K ZX14s) that are not true to promote a story that now seems to be false.

Help a brother out ...WHERE ARE THESE HALF PRICE DIAVELS?

HEY I thought you had the deal on yours if someone needs a deal on a bike they can call me there are several great deals on bikes THATS what I do buy and sell bikes and have for years but I dont advertise if you really need help give me a call and Ill see what I can do for you

For what it is worth. I would buy a Diavel in a heartbeat. I rode a friends a couple of times and loved it. Torque for days. Beautifully built machine. In my opinion the Rocket, Diavel and V Max are the top 3...

I've owned 2 Rocket III's, and used to ride a V Max. Never ridden a Diavel, but assuming it rides anywhere close to the reviews, these are my top 3 bikes (looks, power, and handling)...

You guys should ride a Boss Hoss for awhile. Mine weighs over twelve hundred pounds. Usually my wife rides with me, she weighs 105 pounds, I weigh 220, add this to the bike and go ride in the mountains for eight years with guys that all have lighter bikes. I swear I am never last even in the mountains but I have to work hard if I'm riding it fast. You get used to it but no matter how hard you work the lighter bikes have a big advantage. Then I jump on the Rocket Touring and it feels like a bicycle, you might laugh but I'm not kidding. The **** thing feels like a road racer which I know it isn't but thats how it feels. We are riding the Boss back to Kanab Utah in the morning for three days with the Antique Motorcycle Club of America to visit some old friends and ride with the old bikes. In a few more weeks we are taking the Rocket to Southern Ca where we are riding the Angeles Crest Hi Way with some friends, the Rocket is great for either trip but we just rode it through Arizona and Utah a few weeks ago so we will enjoy the Boss Hoss for a minute.
