Living Legend
I put these Avons on not too long before RAA III and road them to Eureka Springs. They now have 10K miles on them.
Most of my riding involves a 70 mile round trip to work and back with 3 varied routes that are mostly non-stop. One has some okay curves that I like to hit hard sometimes, but mostly I have to look at for "Farmer Bob" pulling out in his 1956 poll truck or something. I spin the rear on occaision, at the local bike night, or if I just feel like takin' off like, well.. like a Rocket..
I also like to take a long distance trip to somewhere annually.. Haven't got to do that this year yet..
Overall, I am VERY pleased with them. The only thing I would not recommend Avons for is drag racing. The center appears to be a harder compound that lasts longer, but sacrifices some traction on hard, or sometimes even semi-hard take offs.. That's okay with me though. If I were to be serious about drag racing, I would have a 245 Bridgestone Potenza or the like..
I'm posting links because these picture were taken with my wife's Nikon D50 and they are very large and detailed.
