Yes I understand. But on the bright side, the blurred white post shows the car is moving so it can be considered an "action shot".
That's the idea with panning, have the car crisp clear with the wheels and the background blurred not easy to do, shutter speed as slow as possible the BMW was taken at 1/40 of a second. It's easier to bump it up to 1/1000 or more and have everything clear but you don't get the look of movement, may as well take a photo of a parked car. The 2 below were what I was after. The wheels on the Golf.

the good photos I took of the Escort. Forgot to clean the windscreen for the last run of practice on Saturday evening. Then second run Sunday. Then under it trying to get it to keep the wheels down a bit. This thing was like it was on rails, when you think about it when cornering hard the inside tyres aren't doing anything for grip so if their in the air it doesn't matter.
