They are a real problem in the wetter regions in Aus. They don't actually eat anything but they love to nest in relays and fuse boxes. Our remedy is to first find out where they are heading, then shut your bike, car or boat in the garage and deploy about 3 insect bombs ( doors open for cars ). Then clean out the effected relay etc. They don't usually cause any damage but are a real pain in the ass. They also love power points in the house. I now bomb the house and shed every six months because of this.
