Alarm and Optimate

My 07 Rocket has the Datatool S4 alarm and I have acquired an Optimate 3.

My question is, does the alarm work on (as part of its function) voltage sensing? If so will the Optimate cutting in and out be enough to set it off?

As the colder weather has set in here in good old Blighty I have just nipped out to the garage to switch on the Optimate and I am now wondering if I will be woken in the night by my Rocket wailing at me and the neighbours!

Any thoughts gratefully accepted.

JT - I have the same alarm plus an optimate.

Never had any such problem.

The alarm has now died! Well, in its death throws anyway....it just croaks and lets out a low whistle that would not wake my cat if it was sleeping on the saddle! :cry:

Mine also work fine on on Optimate [for 6 Winter months every year].

Sounds like you might have it in "Service Mode", if you didn't get the info sheet with it - this might help...
