.020 Over
Well, as some of you may remember, I bought my bike with some pretty high milage.. about 28K..
Even though the owners manual was stamped up to the 20K check-up I still HAD to know what I got myself into.
So this past tuesday I bit the bullet and took the bike in for its 30K check-up. with 30,220 miles on it. I couldn't have planed it more perfect after a 3 day weekend.
Valves were still within spec
throttle bodies balanced
and about 30 other checks and minor maintenances performed, plugs, oil, coolants, etc. etc.
600 bucks + I needed a new front tire & Rear pads replaced
besides that the mechanic gave the rest of the bike a clean bill of health and said the original owner took real good care of it and since the valves didn't need any adjustments.. that was a good sign that the engine was in really good shape..
but the best part is.... they did the manual adjustment for the idle and it is running like a champ, absolutely no signs of dying...
