Before I go out and buy this crazy colored smoke tire from Kuhmo, I was wondering if anyone is running a tire this small. I'm afraid that my bike will tip over if the wind blows on the port side while it is sitting on the kickstand.

wifes Raptor is a 50 instead of a 55.
Actually a 225x50x16.
I noticed it the other day when I took it for a spin.
It hit 3000 RMP about 5MPH before mine does.
So I looked.
50 instead of 55, but since shes shorter than me,
it works for her.

While smoking a tire in technicolor may be cool for some, doesn't the pricetag kinda' defeat one of the many reasons to go over to the DS in the first place?

I never claimed to be all that smart. I'm one of the dumbest people that I ever met. I really enjoy my GYF1 245/50-16. AND WOW this sucker is living a long life. But, after 10,000 hard miles, I am looking for something a little more excentric.
If this tire came in a 225/55-16 I'd be all over it.
Me likes burnouts....me likes loud pipes and actin a fool. Just a thought....if I wait long enough, I'll give up on the idea.....Most likely better that way.

Don't get me wrong, walleye... do whatever floats your boat.. I know that things can get a bit monotonous out there on those Iowan plains!

Im not familiar with that brand nor the specs.
Ive got to go with another with a higher tread wear rating than a 280 next go around. Ive got 14k on my Cooper and its down to the wear bars. I expect itll get another 4k before it goes slick and there wont be any more smokin thereafter.

I recently put on a set of Mad Dogs and maybe 4k is stretching it considerably. Hot **** and yeehaw!

There are Mad Dogs on the '07 Mulberry Mistress that will be delivered to me around Thanksgiving day. How would you describe the difference in sound and performance from what you ran previously, HeR3tic?

Did he say Iowan Plains???? I live in the Maggie Valley of the midwest. Hills, valleys, twists and turns, dodging deer and racoon. Heck I'm living it up big time. I know that these tires are not legal for street use. But, it is just an equipment ticket and not a moving violation.:mad::mad: Mad red smoke.
Man I gotta grow up.

Before we get too far away from the thread question, Id say stay away from a 50 series with less than a 225 ground patch. And if a 50 is what you want go with a high UTCQ rating.

The Mad Dogs versus bologna classic pipes is a wild awakening!!! Ive long stated the "log" was the limiter. I sit corrected. Bigger mouth means more grunt. However; I don't always like the droning-on sound with a full shield. The air flow under a full face modular helmet is abated, worn during the cold commutes, but the droning-on noise is boring. With a half helmet and better air flow across the ears, the pipe drone is not monotonous and exceleration growl is greatly enjoyed. The real or imagined power improvement has restored my soul, and enahanced my grin.

Honestly, Im glad I can swap out to quieter pipes when I want with a simple 1 hour laying on the ground:D and still have more grunt than anyone else.
