Second day here and I just discovered this thread. From Tacoma, WA - been riding motor 60 years (Dad was an Indian dealer) - reconstruct collisions for a living - In 2004 I chose between new models Rocket and V2K. I now have 78K on my V2K and diving into my second top end rebuild - now seriously looking to get a new motor - The R3. My V2K experiences have learned me to research the issues BEFORE laying down the moola.

Been a ROG and Delphi Rogue forum member since 04 and I am very impressed with the hospitality I see on this forum.
Very Best Regards,

Welcome bull. Get your self some R3. You will never regret it.

Welcome Bull, buy a rocket and you will not need to rebuild every 35k miles

Welcome to the forum. Hope we can help you make the right decision.
Post some pics of the V2K.

Welcome from Canada! This site has loads of great information. You'll never regret buying a Rocket but you might regret not buying it.

dear canberra,

the last is my back patch ;-}

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I think it's time to start talking turkey with some dealers. I know already air, pipes and fuel controller are mandatory. A removable windshield and bags also.

a couple questions if I may:
can floor boards with the original R3 ergos be added?
does anybody here run apes?
Best Regards,

Welcome to the site you O'l Bull. I don't think you will regret buying a Rocket. The one with hardbags ( Touring ) is not as fast as the other one, but plenty of torque. I like the sound of the TORS ( Triumph Off Road Silencers ), and I have them on my 2010 R3T.
Lots to learn and these guys have answers for almost anything concerning
a Rocket. Apehangers??? I think I saw some, somewhere. Do a search.

That's a mean looking mutha. Love the patch!

There are 2 types of boards you can run. Classic boards sit a bit flatter and lower than the Standard boards. There was a set for sale on here a while ago I think. If you're buying a Roadster there are some issues with fitment of the older boards/pegs but not impossible. You might be able to do a swap with someone.

If you look through the Gallery you'll see all types of bars.
