Good day RKTNMYPKT.
I stopped in at my dealership today to book my 10k appointment and was told that the valves were no longer done on the 10k service. So me being a little weary of my dealers advice I contacted triumph North America and here is a copy of the chat session;
are you aware of any other changes or is everything else pretty much as the owners handbook describes it with respect to servicing?
Thanks
You looking to dump another $700-$800 for an oil change and a quick once over? Why not just change your own oil, give the bike a close examination for leaks etc and re torque all the bolts. If you bike is running good I would not want the dealer screwing around with it.
I did my first oil change at 900Kms and performed my own inspection, yadda yadda. Told the dealer I wasn't going to drive 8 hours one way for a service I could perform myself (especially with the excellent advice from you guys!) but still expected Triumph to warrant the bike. They agreed. Mind you, I've played with the tunes along with changing the wiring for the headlights. Still don't expect to need them....hopefully ever!
