    I expect the short levers are for 2 finger operation while racing. I know on the drag strip my 3rd and 4th finger get in the way ..... they wouldn't with a short lever.

    I had the same thing happen to me and when I went to loosten the cam cover the bolts were finger tight ....... which means whoever tightened it last (which was the dealer when they did the valuve clearence check) did not torque the bolts at all! Have had lots of problem with that dealer ...
