  1. Audiovox Cruise Control Questions

As for a "how to", Honker already posted one and it is excellent. I used it myself with great success. There used to be a Sticky, but I wasn't able to find it here just now. As for enough vacuum, my vacuum guage shows 24" of vacuum in the cannister, taking vacuum from just the #3 cylinder, and...
  2. Audiovox Cruise Control Questions

I've been running the CSS100 for 3 years now - works great! A special thanks to Honker for his tutorial a few years back, which I mostly followed, except: My CC cable runs under the tank and drops down directly over the throttle bell crank (not attached to the frame downtubes). I attached the...
  3. Audiovox electronic cruz install.

Yup, I have had the CCS-100 for 3 years now and it runs beautifully. This is the vacuum operated version and it works by monitoring the RPM to establish the target speed, and uses the vacuum to move the cruise control cable. It runs up hills like a champ, and operates just like in a car. There...
  4. Harley Tour Pack on RIII

Most Excellent!! Can you give us any mounting details - for example, the rack the TourPak is mounted on seems a little higher than stock, and the tour pack is forward such that the Leatherlyke lids might not open?? Obviously they do as the pictures show, but as I'm doing the same thing with a...
  5. Tour Pak

What a co-inkydink - I'm doing exactly the same thing. Just bought a black HD Tour Pak from FleaBay, and am pondering the mounting options. Just waiting for my new Russell Day long seat to arrive so I can have My Royal Sweetness (Mrs.) perch Herself comfortably and line up the Tour Pak. I'm...
  6. on the trailer again

Axel and Jeep - I'm the Vancouver buddy Chrispy refers to above having the same idle problems. The service dept at Western Powersports in Langley is trying hard to find a fix. They called over to British Italian this week to see what they are doing, and yes, they are tearing their hair out too...
  7. Lighting, Speakers, Triple Gauges, and Stebel Horn Location

Wow! Lots of innovation going on here. Can you tell us more about the plastic thingies bolted to your front crash bar? Wind deflectors?? Building your own solutions is a real talent I admire. Good on Ya! Vinny Boy
  8. Tune for 3-1-2 exhaust

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm getting the hang of this TuneBoy software - it's very flexible and easy to adjust. I'll try unchecking the 02 sensor and unplugging the sensor wiring with my next download, which won't be for a while - took the bike in for the famous Paint Can Rattle...
  9. Tune for 3-1-2 exhaust

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried dougl's 20050DynoFinalMap TOR CatBypass Decel tune and it works well, but is a little rich according to the fuel consumption it gave me - but ran very well with almost no decel popping (I'm running cat bypass and one TOR on left side, 2 stock pipes on...
  10. Tune for 3-1-2 exhaust

Like Diesel, I just got my Tune Boy this week and will eventually go with Staintune pipes methinks. But in the meantime, I will use the stock pipes with cat bypass, original underseat filter, and would like open secondaries and corrected speedo. I've checked the Trading Tunes posts, but don't...
  11. Handlebar risers and Fleetliner Fairing???

Yes it will work. I have the Rivco risers and the Fleetliner fairing and it all works quite well. You still have the ignition key accessibility issue cause of the fairing, and the tank won't lift up to use the prop wand cause of the risers, but both issues are solveable and become more of a get...
  12. 2008: What's in Store?

Cruise Control Flip - you're right - it is the audiovox unit. Chris and I installed them on our rockets and built a vacuum reservoir canister to supply the needed vacuum. Chris keeps his under the seat, mine is in a saddlebag. Works really well. Others have installed a vacuum pump, but I find...
  13. STURGIS 2007 Aug. 6-12

Is there a meeting place and date for all of us to get together in Sturgis and swap lies?? Captain ChrisPy and myself will arrive from British Columbia, Canada on Monday the 6th, so we're hoping to meet some folks we read about in person. Staying in Keystone but happy to meet wherever. It's...
  14. anyone with the corbin windscreen that looks like the Harley

The fit and quality are excellent. I did replace the screen with a 10" one as the black 6" one supplied looks nice but wasn't very useful. I also have the lowers on too, and that helps with air coming up from underneat the fairing. I wear a full face and while there is some wind getting through...
  15. anyone with the corbin windscreen that looks like the Harley

Sure - what do you want to know? I have one and like it a lot. Vinny Boy
  16. Kuryakyn Grips - Wobble??? Help!!!

FWIW - Sounds like the rear tire inflation is low - causes a wobble which is felt in the front end although sourced in the rear- common Hardley sympton - that's how I know about it. As mentioned in a previous post, deflate and over inflate the rear tire and see if the wobble goes away.
  17. Great.... Now I'm stuck with it

Boy, is this thread right on the money. I bought my Rocket last August after over 20 years of owning Harleys. I love my Rocket!! I could see that my personal history of selling my Harleys at original purchase price, or close to it, was changing, so I went looking for a Rocket. First I...
